David has over 22 years’ experience in advising and representing commercial property occupiers. Through Office Tenant Advisory, he now helps businesses with as few as 5 to 10 staff across Australia to find and lease premises that are right for them, on the best terms possible.

David is not aligned or affiliated with any real estate firms, developers or agents, which enables him to act as a truly independent property consultant. The services he provides include negotiating lease renewals, identifying and leasing new accommodation, disposing of surplus space, make good assessments, lease due diligence in business acquisitions, and ongoing lease management.

What do you enjoy most about working with small and medium sized businesses?

I enjoying working directly with the decision makers.  In many larger clients in my field, my local contacts have to report to overseas management, with can be slow and less effective.

What is the biggest lesson you have learned from starting your own business?

Starting my own business has reinforced the importance of providing a high level of personal service to my clients.

How do you know if you’ve really succeeded in helping your clients?

When I receive additional or repeat assignments from a client, I know that they truly appreciate the services I have provided and trust the advice that I give. So I enjoy building long term relationships with my established clients, and also referrals from them to new clients.

  • Diploma in Business Studies (Valuation) – Hawkesbury Agricultural College (now part of Western Sydney University)
  • Licensed Real Estate Agent and qualified Valuer (NSW)
  • Member of the Australian Property Institute
